We sit down with every new client to understand your unique goals and issues and to learn more about your concerns around your wealth and your life. What are your plans and goals? What are the risks and opportunities most relevant to you? How do you currently address these matters? What should change?
Once we begin learning where you are, where you’d like to be and what’s most important to you, we’ll formulate a plan to determine an appropriate mixture of stocks and bonds, also known as an asset allocation. While clients should view their portfolio’s asset allocation as part of a long-term strategy, it is easy to adjust the mixture in response to changes to your unique financial situation. The KM Client Service Team is there to help you every step of the way.
Going well beyond investments, we’ll help you take deliberate steps to address your most pressing concerns. We are always available to discuss topics such as charitable giving plans or helping you facilitate family meetings to prepare your loved ones for potential inheritance. All of this is done to help you accomplish what’s most important to you.
Management of the stocks in your portfolio is handled entirely by the KM Investment Team, which is led by Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer Mark Foster, CFA. Unlike most other firms who “farm-out” the actual stock selection in client portfolios to other managers or funds, we believe it is vitally important to perform our own intensive, fundamental research when evaluating portfolio candidates. Most importantly, we are available whenever needed to meet with you to discuss what’s on your mind and coach you on how to best you stay on track.
